Get Your Internet Real Estate in Check
For a long time I’ve been skeptical of personal brands online. To me, it seemed like time spent away from the actual work that needed to be done. If a CEO was busy blogging, they weren’t operating.
It’s not that I didn’t see the value for things like hiring but I questioned if it really would make the difference in a person’s career.
I’ve started to question this assumption and ask myself:
Would I benefit from a stronger personal brand online? Could I benefit both externally and internally?
It took a bit of a shove from some of my friends, but I’m now realizing the importance of building your internet real estate. Even if it doesn’t feel like it will add anything meaningful, it’s worth chasing in the off chance it does.
I’m not quite sure what this will look like or what it will lead to, but I am committing to trying it.
We’ll see what it can bring by putting yourself out there digitally.
